The 50MWe is our base module for all power stations and Community Energy Centres, each consists of three turbine and generator modules, each producing a single phase output of 17MWe. The three individual phases are combined at the output stage into 3 phase output. Therefore for a 200MWe output we combine 4x Standard 50MWe Power Modules and for a 250MWe power station we combine 5x 50MWe standard Power modules running in parallel.
The whole Power Station is delivered to site based on 'plug and play' principles it is ready to operate as soon as it is coupled up with the other components such as the Turbine and the Generator.
As demand for electricity rises and falls one line or multiple lines can be switched off. Effectively the burners go into kindle mode, but are ready to fire immediately that the electrical demand increases.
Standard spares will be kept on-site to effect a speedy repair.
The Energy Centre is highly responsive and is able to switch between kindle mode and full firing in seconds. This maximises the flexinbility of the Power Production, minimises cost and provides maximum security for a constant supply of electricity.
It is a simple task to expand the Energy Centre from say 200MWe to 250MWe / 300MWe/ 350MWE/400MWE/450MWE/500MWe etc as every additional 50MWe Standard Power Modules adds 50MWe to the Power Stations output. This allows for planned expansion to occur with minimum fuss or delay. As they are all standard modules there will be no need for extra education or training, all Power Modules are identical.
Because the Draig Energy Centre can be operated on a wide range of fuel types, it is therefore suitable for countries that may not have any indiginous coal. Bamboo plantations could be established around the Energy Centre to provide a Renewable energy source for electricity production. The ideal location for an Energy Centre is right next door to a coal mine in the middle of a forest or in the middle of an area growing the bamboo.
