50MWe COMMUNITY POWER STATION

STANDARD 50MWe MODULE

Base Module

The 50MWe is our base module for all power stations and Community Energy Centres. It consists of three turbine modules, each producing a single phase. The three phases are combined at the output stage. For a 200MWe power station For Example, we combine 4x 50MWe modules running in parallel.

Operation

The whole Power Station is delivered to site based on 'plug and play' principles it is ready to operate as soon as it is coupled up with the other components such as the Turbine and the Generator.

Highly Efficient

As demand for electricity rises and falls the burners will automatically go into kindle mode, but are ready to fire immediately that the demand increases.

Built in Redundancy

There is no built in redundancy for a single 50MWe Power Module. However as electricity demand rises and falls the burners go into kindle mode, but are ready to fire immediately that the demand increases.

Standard spares will be kept on-site to effect a speedy repair.

Major Features

Highly Responsive

The Energy Centre is highly responsive and is able to switch between kindle mode and full firing in seconds. This maximises the flexinbility of the Power Production , minimises cost and provides maximum security for a constant supply of electricity.

Future Expansion

It is a simple task to expand the Energy Centre from say 50MWe to 100MWe as a secondary standard module can be placed alongside the original module at any time. This allows for planned expansion to occur with minimum fuss or delay. As they are both standard modules there will be no need for extra education or training, they will be identical modules.

Advantages

Because the Draig Energy Centre can be operated on a wide range of fuel types, it is therefore suitable for countries that may not have any indiginous coal. Bamboo plantations could be established around the Energy Centre to provide a Renewable energy source for electricity production. The ideal location for an Energy Centre is right next door to a coal mine in the middle of a forest or in the middle of an area growing the bamboo.
