Anthracite is available in large quantities across much of the world especially USA & Africa. However, not many other processes can use High Grade (HG) or Ultra High Grade (UHG) Anthracite, as a result it is not readily mined and therefore remains an untapped resource. Anthracite is not used at conventional Power Stations to make electricity as it burns between 1500 and 2000°C (2500-3632°F). Steel melts at 1500°C (2500°F) this makes it unusable in conventional power plant.
As Anthracite is the most carbon rich fuel.
It can provide the best heat source at the lowest potential cost of all carbon based fuels. DRAIG have been burning Anthracite for the last 70 years on our unique Ultra-Low emission DRAIG burners, which allow very high temperature combustion due to our water jacketed combustion chamber. Due to 98-99% Combustion efficiency ot the DRAIG burners, For a 50MWe plant, the expected consumption of Anthracite is estimated to be 20-25 tonnes per hour.
Large deposits of High Grade (HG) & Ultra High Grade (UHG) Anthracite around the world.
With DRAIG providing a market for HG and UHG Anthracite, mines that were previously economically unviable could become viable mines in the future. As DRAIG technology and our 'NEAR ZERO' noxious emissions technology becomes more popular in the USA, Africa and around the world, Electricity Generation will consume vast quantities of Anthracite, this may open many mines that were economically unworkable in the past.
High temperature combustion at 1500 - 2000 (2500-3632°F) degrees, the best of all carbon based coal fuels, Mostly an untapped resource around the world. Anthracite is a form of coal that is almost made entirely of carbon. Anthracite is much harder than other forms of coal such as bituminous, and is usually found in areas surrounding mountains or deep valleys. Anthracite burns much cleaner than other forms of coal due to its low pollutant content. In fact, anthracite may contain 91% to 98% pure carbon, leaving only 2% to 9% of other elements. Anthracite is difficult to ignite and burns with a blue, smokeless flame.
DRAIG (Previously Suxé) have been providing combustion equipment and burner solutions across the World since 1951. The basic principles have remained the same whilst the designs have been modernised to deal with 21st Century fuel source requirements. Modern solutions to modern problems.
Growing Bamboo around each community power station can provide hundreds of new employment opportunities in each area.
